Laurie and Carole Celebrate!
Congratulations to Laurie and Carole Golden who last weekend (24th July 2010) celebrated their Ruby wedding anniversary, combined with Laurie’s 70th Birthday party. Many of their family and friends were there to celebrate this momentous occasion with a splendid meal and reception in the Duke of Wellington. A great time was had by all. Below are a handful of pictures from the day supplied by Mike Baker.
Children’s Playground
The new children’s playground was opened by Mayor Harris on 22nd October 2009, and is already proving a big hit with local children despite the terrible weather.
The park can be found at the very top of Downs View, situated on the left hand side of the houses at the top.
