Christmas Carol Concert December 2017

Father Christmas was a surprise visitor arriving during a performance by some of the village children

A number of brave souls met around the tree and sang a few carols 'al fresco' before walking up the hill to continue the concert in the warmth of the Village Hall. Following the concert there were mince pies and mulled wine and a lots of chatter with friends and neighbours in the build up to Christmas.

A big thank you to the organisers and all who participated.

(we really must practice the 12 Days of Christmas for 2018)

All money raised at the event will go towards maintaining the Village Hall.

Pantomime - Aberthin Young Players

The first weekend in March saw the world premiere at the Hall of Snowflakes ‘R’ Us, a wonderful fairy-tale written and directed by Glesni Jones and performed by the newly formed Aberthin Young Players,a group of talented youngsters from the village ranging in age from 6 to 14 years.

Performances on Friday night and Saturday afternoon sold out and the delighted audiences witnessed a wonderful fairy-tale pantomime complete with elves, fairies, baddy kings and wicked witches, a hapless Dame and a more hapless group of incompetent village bobbies.

A full report and photographs of this great event are available on the Gallery page, or just click here...
